About The Position

The Product Owner will support multiple squads delivering Auto and Umbrella quote-flow capabilities, including an app for coding and issuing property and casualty insurance. The role works closely with Product, Design, Research, Engineering, business partners, and other stakeholders to support prioritized delivery, gather input, and help inform product decisions. This position is suited to someone with product management experience who can support day-to-day delivery in a fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environment. The contractor will contribute to delivery artifacts and squad execution, help maintain delivery momentum, support issue resolution, and assist with the launch and stabilization of new end-to-end quote flows. The assignment is for one year, with a possible extension and potential contract-to-hire. It is remote in U.S. time zones except Hawaii and Alaska; candidates within 50 miles of a hub location are expected to work onsite two days per week. The interview process has two rounds.

Requirements

Product management or Product Owner experience in an Agile delivery environment.
Agile experience.
Experience working with engineering or technology teams.
Experience writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
Ability to facilitate or support Agile ceremonies.
Strong communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in ambiguity and learn quickly on the job.
Ownership mindset, strong execution, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to delivery in a collaborative team environment.
Regulated-industry experience and knowledge.

Nice To Haves

Property and casualty insurance experience; insurance experience in areas such as health or dental is also highly preferred.
Financial services industry experience.
Familiarity with quote flows, sales journeys, or digital customer experiences.

Responsibilities

Support multiple squads delivering Auto and Umbrella quote-flow capabilities.
Attend daily standups and stakeholder meetings to monitor progress and identify potentially impacting product work.
Run or support Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, and reviews, as needed.
Write and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, and related delivery artifacts.
Support epics and feature decomposition when needed.
Gather stakeholder input and conduct research to inform product decisions.
Synthesize Qualtrics feedback to identify potential areas of opportunity.
Build a ContentSquare dashboard to review and prepare for a recent implementation.
Partner with Product, Design, Research, Engineering, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into executable work.
Help maintain delivery momentum and support issue resolution across the squad.
Support the launch and stabilization of new end-to-end quote flows in market.
