This specific position is for contractors residing in Brazil, with compensation in Brazilian Reais (R$). The company cannot sponsor visas. The mission of this role is to guide clients in making strategic product decisions tailored to their unique organizations and business goals. Product Owners at Metal Toad bridge the gap between client business needs and technology solutions, translating business values into user stories and contributing to strategic vision and program development with a global perspective on development processes.
Requirements

- Advanced to fluent English communication skills.
- 3+ years of experience leading software applications and/or providing strategic advisory services and account management services.
- Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in Design, Administration, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven ability to build relationships with a diverse set of people, including senior-level executives, R&D, product management, legal, finance, sales, and marketing experts.
- Ability to clearly and concisely synthesize/communicate complex requirements and/or organizational problems and propose solutions while working through complicated, matrixed decision paths.
- Professional use of technology backlog processes and backlog tools, like Jira, ClickUp, and Asana.
- Ability to confidently lead a group in whiteboarding, concepts, and prioritization exercises.
- Ability to lead cross-functional business and technical teams to provide timely issue resolution.

Responsibilities
- Leadership: Balance focus between engineering, business strategy, and human relationships; prioritize work effort and communicate priorities to the team; maintain awareness of the competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments, and standards; maintain a positive and respectful tone.
- Product Owner: Work with the development team to architect solutions based on client needs and requirements; ensure requirements are understood and implementation plans align with expectations; identify and articulate client business needs and growth opportunities; serve as a trusted advisor for client technology strategy, including product planning, strategic roadmapping, and release planning; develop, maintain, and refine a backlog in Jira; serve on a scrum team, representing business needs to developers and ensuring ticket completion; surface product risks and identify mitigation tactics; balance technological expertise with client empathy; guide and advise clients; educate and align development teams on client requirements; act as the client's proxy with development teams during build cycles.
