About The Position

Augustus is building a new kind of bank, leveraging a national bank charter and a proprietary core banking system called Marble. We are looking for a Product Owner to own the Banking Experience, which includes accounts (DDAs, FBOs, virtual accounts) and the interfaces through which customers interact with them (API and dashboard). The goal is to create an effortless and delightful experience for enterprise customers, allowing them to set up accounts and move money on the same day. This role involves deep customer engagement to understand their use cases and working with design and engineering to develop platform solutions. The Product Owner will report to the Head of Product and work closely with the CTO, operating with full autonomy on their team's roadmap. The role is designed for individuals who thrive on challenging the status quo, possess high agency, and are driven to build exceptional products in a regulated environment.

Requirements

3+ years of experience end-to-end owning and building banking, fintech, or developer platform products.
Technical enough to spar on architectural decisions with engineers.
Comfortable in API design discussions.
Comfortable in customer-facing roles, including pitching, demoing, and closing early adopters.
Based in New York or Berlin or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

Own the Banking Experience, including accounts, API, and dashboard.
Understand customer use cases for accounts, API integration, and dashboard usage.
Work with design and engineering to develop platform solutions that meet customer needs.
Challenge the status quo of traditional banking interfaces and account setup processes.
Define and ship projects within the Banking Experience domain.
Unblock engineering, make prioritization calls, and keep the roadmap moving.
Raise the bar across accounts, API, and dashboard functionalities.
Evolve the roadmap based on live customer usage and feedback.
Push the boundaries of account and dashboard experience.
Leverage AI to enhance the Product Manager's capabilities.
