(Technical) Product Owner (m/f/x)
About The Position
TikFinity builds tools that more than a million active creators use to run their TikTok LIVEs, including overlays, alerts, and chatbots across several SaaS products and a mobile app. The role involves working with a development team of 8 to 10 people to ensure that development is fast and focused. While product management defines the features, the Product Owner is responsible for the 'how' and 'when,' translating feature decisions into planned, estimated, and delivered software. The position is part of an AI-first development environment, where the classic two-week Scrum sprint is being re-evaluated. A key aspect of this role is designing and evolving the agile process for an AI-first team.
Requirements
- Several years of experience running software development teams as a Product Owner or Project Manager, ideally in SaaS.
- A software engineering background, with experience writing production code.
- Sufficient technical depth to question estimates and engage in discussions with a Lead Dev.
- Hands-on experience with agile frameworks and the ability to adapt them.
- Structured and decisive approach, capable of making calls with incomplete information.
- Fluent German and English, written and spoken.
- Based in Germany or Austria, or a comparable time zone.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with the creator, streaming, or TikTok LIVE space.
- Experience building or rebuilding a team's development process.
- Experience using AI tools in planning and documentation work.
Responsibilities
- Plan, estimate, and run development cycles with a team of 8 to 10 developers, from planning through delivery to retro.
- Turn feature decisions from product management into specs and work packages the team can build without guesswork.
- Own delivery, including scope, timelines, blockers, and providing honest status reports.
- Design and evolve the agile process, incorporating elements from Scrum and similar frameworks while adapting to an AI-first team.
- Challenge developers on estimates and trade-offs, collaborating with the Lead Dev.
- Run planning and documentation in Asana and GitHub, utilizing Claude as a daily tool.
- Report to the CPO and contribute product ideas to the product discussion.
