Product Engineer (m/f/x)

RIZM•Munich, ND
•€65,000 - €80,000•Onsite

About The Position

As a Product Engineer at RIZM, you will help build its Energy OS, which uses AI to support energy decisions at industrial sites. You will decide what to build and deliver features to real customers, using short feedback loops. The role is based in the Munich or Münster office. You will take customer-facing features across Digital Twin, Designer, Operator and Portfolio Manager from idea through design to production. You will also build AI agents that interpret digital twins, run optimisations, explain plans and eventually act autonomously, making them reliable through guardrails, grounding and evaluations against real customer data. You will turn complex simulations and live data from customer IT/OT systems, energy markets and weather into clear visualisations such as charts, time series and maps. The engineering team owns the product across workflows, algorithms, infrastructure and its AI agent layer. The listed technology stack includes Vue, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud (Kubernetes and GitLab CI), LangGraph across multiple models, and Julia and Python for optimisation and forecasting.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience building customer-facing products.
  • A proven track record of taking complex features from idea to launch.
  • Strong TypeScript skills, with Vue or React.
  • Comfort working across browser, Node and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with containers and CI/CD.
  • Experience shipping LLM features to real users and understanding their costs and failure modes.
  • Use of Claude Code, agents and subagents as part of daily work.
  • Attention to design details, ability to cut scope independently, and comfort working on unclear problems.
  • Curiosity about industrial energy; prior knowledge of the field is not required.
