About The Position

The Product Owner will work closely with Allegis' operating companies and their respective Business Process Owners (BPOs) to discover, innovate, and execute on potential valuable solutions that drive strategic business goals and objectives. The Product Owner will be responsible for the discovery, alignment, and effective communication associated with implementing new products and transformative structure changes within the operating companies including system demonstrations, process review sessions, requirement gathering sessions, and other business discovery meetings. The Product Owner will be responsible for ensuring that the system capabilities being deployed meet the needs of the operating company by defining the feature set and ensuring that the delivery team has a clear understanding of the product vision, strategy, and product roadmap. The Product Owner owns and prioritizes the feature backlog and ensures alignment with our business leadership. Required in-office presence at least 2 days per week.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working with product backlogs, requirements, and cross‑functional delivery teams in an Agile or hybrid environment, or a bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Information Systems, or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Business Process Owners and operating company SMEs to gather, understand, and define business requirements.
  • Support Business Process Owners (BPOs) in global process mapping and process design.
  • Partner with process teams to create business process design flows to a business activity level.
  • Identify and create product features and user stories to support the design, configuration, and development for back-office solutions.
  • Strong business understanding and depth of knowledge is required to lead productive discussion with our business partners.
  • Work collaboratively with business & delivery team members to design a solution that will meet business requirements and fulfill product features or user stories.
  • Lead our core team (Business Process Management, Change Management, Business Analysts, Architecture, and Development) to deliver strategic initiatives on accelerated timelines.
  • Will need to clearly understand and articulate multiple systems integrations across business teams.
  • Must collaborate and reach alignment with other workstreams across IS when there are dependencies to complete features.
  • Will communicate and articulate the business problem to the delivery teams which enables them to determine best solutions.
  • Will partner with architects and development leads to validate business solutions.
  • Possess a clear understanding of the Product vision, roadmap and impacts to the enterprise.
  • Collaborates closely with the Product Manager to break down business requirements into clearly defined features and user stories and leads backlog refinement with business partners.
  • Understands the up/down stream process and product dependencies, risks, and critical paths of data.
  • Will engage as a testing support role across all testing concentrations by reviewing and providing feedback on the test plans, test cases, and analyzing and interpreting test results.
  • Will help orchestrate and lead in person working sessions including process design, technical demonstrations, and business user testing sessions.
