About The Position

EllisDon’s construction technology team is looking for a Product Owner to build software that builds cities. This team is composed of Full-Stack Developers, Data Analysts, UX Designers, Product Owners, and IT Operations, and is rapidly expanding. The team also includes top-tier digital modelers and BIM specialists who utilize the latest technology on high-value projects. As a software development studio of over 140 people, backed by a construction firm with 70 years of experience and over $5 billion in annual work, we develop software that addresses real-world challenges on major Canadian construction projects. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software product management or ownership.
  • Demonstrated success building MVPs or early-stage products in agile environments.
  • Strong collaboration skills across UX, engineering, and data teams.
  • Ability to translate technical possibilities into user and business value.
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills; comfortable navigating ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with AI, automation, or data-driven product design is an asset — but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Proven success in building, launching, and scaling complex software products across enterprise markets.
  • Lead agile teams through fast feedback cycles.
  • Prototype, test, and iterate based on data and user insights.
  • Partner with UX, engineering, and data teams to translate emerging technologies (AI, analytics, automation) into intuitive user experiences.
  • Comfortable discussing system architecture, APIs, and technical trade-offs with engineering teams.
  • Exceptional empathy and ability to translate user insights into product strategy.
  • Skilled at aligning stakeholders across levels, from executives to technical teams.
  • Define clear success metrics (adoption, accuracy, efficiency, satisfaction) and use them to refine the product roadmap.
  • Support launch, rollout, and adoption activities including enablement, change management, and success tracking.
