About The Position

This Product Owner III role is part of PNC's Retail organization and is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. PNC is an in-office company; candidates are encouraged to discuss workplace expectations with their recruiter and hiring manager. The Product Owner owns the product vision and definition, represents the customer, and focuses Scrum Team efforts on priorities that deliver business value. The role defines and communicates the vision to address client requirements and meet business objectives. It is accountable for creating and maintaining the integrity of the product backlog, prioritizing it, and leading backlog grooming. Working closely with Scrum Masters and development teams, the Product Owner ensures teams focus on the right work, serves as their primary point of contact for questions, and is empowered to make decisions. PNC expects employees to be customer-focused and to assess and manage risks in support of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Roles at this level typically require a university or college degree and 5 or more years of industry-relevant experience. A comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service, may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Own the product vision and definition and serve as the voice of the customer.
Ensure Scrum Team efforts focus on priorities based on business value.
Define and communicate the product vision to address client requirements and achieve business objectives.
Create and maintain the integrity of the product backlog.
Prioritize and lead grooming of the product backlog.
Work with Scrum Masters and development teams to ensure the right items are addressed during development.
Serve as the primary point of contact for team questions and make product decisions.
Focus on customer needs and satisfaction when making business decisions and developing customer solutions.
Assess and manage risks associated with business objectives and activities in accordance with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
