About The Position

We are looking for a Product Owner, Gas Measurement Applications who will be responsible for the reliability, performance, and evolution of critical measurement platforms, including GMAS, AUTOSOL, and supporting systems. This role works closely with business stakeholders, IT, and the AMS offshore group to maintain application health. It resolves incidents, delivers improvements, and develops long-term product strategy. This ensures systems stay accurate, dependable, and meet business needs. Requirements

  • Related university degree OR a two-year technical diploma with four or more years of directly related experience.
  • Good understanding of measurement systems and related operational workflows (GMAS, AUTOSOL experience preferred).
  • Experience with application lifecycle management and ITIL-based support processes.
  • Ability to analyze incidents, data patterns, logs, and system behavior.
  • Good communication skills for coordinating with offshore AMS teams and business users.
  • Proficiency in backlog management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.).
  • Demonstrable ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong data analysis and ability to fix issues, including SQL querying, dataset analysis, and data flow validation.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle-based applications, including PL/SQL, schema structures, stored procedures, and overall application behavior.
  • Understanding of data pipelines and integrations, such as ETL processes, batch jobs, data transformations, and cross‑system data movement.
  • Familiarity with integration technologies, including SOAP/REST APIs, Java services, middleware, service buses, and data exchanges using APIs supporting GMAS, AUTOSOL, and downstream systems.
  • Exposure to SCADA‑to‑measurement data workflows, including field data collection, normalization, and consumption by measurement applications.
  • Experience supporting enterprise applications, including configuration management, log analysis, job monitoring, failure resolution, and basic debugging in collaboration with technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end health, performance, and reliability of GMAS, AUTOSOL, and related measurement applications.
  • Monitor application health, integrations, scheduled jobs, and data quality to ensure accuracy and operational stability.
  • Proactively identify risks, recurring issues, and system degradations, driving remediation with AMS and technical teams.
  • Collaborate with the AMS offshore group to triage, resolve, and bring up incidents within SLAs, including root‑cause analysis and long‑term fixes for high‑impact issues.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog across all measurement applications.
  • Evaluate enhancement requests based on business value, urgency, and technical feasibility.
  • Coordinate estimation, planning, and delivery of enhancements with AMS/offshore teams.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and acceptance testing to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery.
  • Work closely with Gas Measurement (GMI), Capacity & Transmission, operations teams, and downstream system stakeholders to understand and align business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
  • Communicate application status, incidents, releases, risks, and roadmap updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Ensure applications align with internal governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including process flows, configurations, and functional requirements.
  • Support audits, data validation, and measurement reporting accuracy.
  • Lead all aspects of vulnerability management, patch coordination, and security remediation.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and isolation exercises to ensure system resilience and continuity.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system stability and reduce operational issues.
  • Evaluate new technologies, vendor capabilities, and optimization opportunities.
  • Contribute to long‑term product roadmaps designed to advance business growth and meet regulatory requirements.
