About The Position

The Product Operations Technical Specialist supports the reliability and readiness of Anduril’s autonomous maritime products, including undersea and surface vehicles and systems. Working within a deployment and sustainment group, this role coordinates with engineering, program management, and field operations to support end users and improve processes for discovering, mitigating, and resolving field failures. The specialist serves as a first technical responder for issues across the Maritime fleet, investigating logs, telemetry, and system state to isolate faults across software, hardware, and network boundaries. The role includes deploying interim mitigations to keep customers operational while permanent fixes are developed, analyzing fleet data to identify trends and anticipate failures, and translating field findings into lasting engineering improvements. The specialist also communicates between technical teams, business development stakeholders, and military operators, and develops repeatable triage procedures, diagnostic tools, and runbooks as the fleet scales. The position is based on-site in Quincy, Massachusetts; relocation is provided. Travel and non-standard hours, including weekends, may be needed to support customer operations and test events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent hands-on technical experience in military, maritime, industrial, or field support settings.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting software-intensive or networked systems in a production, field, or customer-facing environment, including reading logs, isolating faults across software and hardware boundaries, and reproducing issues.
  • Working proficiency with the Linux command line.
  • Comfort analyzing data beyond spreadsheets using SQL, Python, bash, or similar tools.
  • Ability to solve ambiguous, unstructured technical problems from first principles and deploy interim mitigations or workarounds while permanent fixes are developed.
  • Self-starter with a record of high achievement in multiple domains and ability to learn new systems through hands-on work.
  • Ability to coordinate technical and non-technical efforts across business, engineering, and sustainment functions, and influence decision-making, resource allocation, and operational planning.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Quincy, Massachusetts, and able to work on-site.
  • Ability to travel as needed and work non-standard hours and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Python or bash scripting used to automate diagnostics, parse logs, or build internal tooling.
  • Familiarity with observability and ticketing tools such as Grafana, Jira, or Git.
  • Experience with data platforms such as Palantir Foundry for trend analysis and decision-making.
  • Experience supporting or deploying undersea munitions, vehicles, or unmanned undersea systems as a DoD contractor or military end-user.
  • Familiarity with naval systems or operations, or prior military, DoD civilian, or government agency experience.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate logs, telemetry, and system state to isolate faults across software, hardware, and network boundaries.
  • Identify and deploy interim mitigations and workarounds while managing permanent fixes in parallel.
  • Pull, query, and analyze fleet health data and logs to identify trends, predict failures, and prevent customer-facing issues.
  • Partner with software and hardware engineering teams to turn field data and failure analysis into system upgrades and design improvements.
  • Communicate technical issues clearly across engineering teams, business development stakeholders, and military operators.
  • Develop repeatable triage procedures, diagnostic tooling, and runbooks based on incident experience.
  • Travel as needed to support customer operations and test events.
