About The Position

The Product Mgr III - Tech position at Amazon Web Services, Inc. involves developing product strategy vision and roadmaps, creating short, medium, and long-term features, and gaining buy-in from partner teams. The role requires gathering, researching, and defining product and business requirements, writing detailed functional specifications, and coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new feature sets. This position manages the complete product lifecycle, from customer research through strategic planning, roadmaps, launch, product adoption, and customer feedback. The Product Manager will partner with UX designers and software developers to deliver products, develop and interpret information for management decision-making, and identify and resolve strategic issues. Additionally, the role includes creating tools to support the sales team and developing marketing campaigns to increase product awareness and adoption.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, and two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree and two years of experience.
  • Must have one year of experience in owning and driving end-to-end product requirements across multiple teams.
  • Must have one year of experience in prioritizing complex deliverables while understanding technical concepts, managing trade-offs, and leading meetings with technical and business leaders.
  • Must have one year of experience in utilizing data to manage metrics, drive process improvements, and implement business cases.
  • Must have one year of experience in software product management.
  • Must have one year of experience in product roadmap planning, feature requirements generation, and go-to-market planning and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product strategy vision and roadmaps, and create short, medium, and long-term features to achieve the vision.
  • Gain buy-in for the strategy and roadmap from partner teams through collaboration, documentation, and negotiation.
  • Gather, research, and define product and business requirements, write detailed functional specifications, and coordinate efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new feature sets, innovations, and opportunities based on specific market segments and targeted customers.
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle, from customer research, through strategic planning and roadmaps, to launch, product adoption, and customer feedback.
  • Partner with UX designers and software developers to deliver products based on roadmaps.
  • Develop and interpret information to assist management with decision-making, policy formulation, and related managerial functions.
  • Identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Create tools to support the success of the sales team and help identify opportunities to increase that success.
  • Develop marketing campaigns to create awareness and increase product adoption.
