Product Marketing Manager

Gradial•Seattle, WA
•$165,000 - $185,000

About The Position

Gradial is hiring a Product Marketing Manager to define the category and drive product marketing strategy as the company scales. The role owns how Gradial is positioned to executives, buyers, operators, analysts, and the broader market. It reports to Product, with a dotted line to Marketing, and is intended for someone who has joined an early-stage startup and helped drive significant growth as a category-defining business. The Product Marketing Manager will shape the narrative across Gradial’s portfolio, including platform positioning, launches, customer stories, competitive strategy, and analyst relations. The role works closely with founders, Product, Sales, and customers to maintain a clear and consistent story across the company. It calls for strong judgment, conviction, and the ability to make a new category compelling to the market.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, ideally at a product-led or category-creating company.
  • Experience joining an early-stage startup of roughly fewer than 250 employees and helping drive it through a significant scale phase as a category-defining business.
  • A strong track record owning positioning, launches, competitive strategy, customer storytelling, and sales enablement.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create narratives that influence buyers, operators, analysts, and internal teams.
  • Ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear market value for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working closely with founders, product teams, and go-to-market teams in fast-moving environments with little existing structure.
  • High ownership and comfort working as a builder and individual contributor while laying the foundation for a future function.
  • Strong customer instincts and a habit of staying close to users, buyer pain points, objections, and product truth.
  • Confidence and judgment to make strategic messaging decisions and maintain them as the company grows.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a high-performing startup that scaled meaningfully from early stage to broad market adoption.
  • Familiarity with AI-native products, AI-leaning developer tools, or modern MarTech platforms.
  • Experience introducing a new category or making new market language stick in a competitive space.

Responsibilities

  • Define and defend Gradial’s positioning across its portfolio, keeping the homepage, pitch, launches, and market narrative consistent.
  • Name and shape the category through messaging, proprietary research, and memorable market language.
  • Own product and company messaging for executives, buyers, operators, and technical stakeholders across major channels.
  • Lead product launches from narrative development through proof points, founder content, customer voice, and go-to-market coordination.
  • Build competitive positioning against adjacent platforms, established incumbents, and agency alternatives.
  • Partner with Sales to sharpen differentiation, strengthen objection handling, and improve win rates.
  • Develop a repeatable process for turning customer wins into case studies, talks, videos, PR moments, and co-marketing assets.
  • Speak frequently with customers and power users, using their insights to refine messaging and identify proof points.
  • Own analyst relations with leading industry firms and shape their understanding of the category and Gradial’s place in it.
  • Maintain clarity and consistency in company messaging as Gradial scales.
