The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, as well as sales enablement efforts and collaboration on marketing activities for their products. The Product Marketing Manager will be the expert in their products’ messaging, their buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria. This role knows competitors thoroughly and uses this knowledge to drive the development of positioning and messaging that resonates with buyers and empowers sales channels. The role also collaborates heavily with product lines’ business units and corporate marketing to support messaging and content development that drives demand. An attention to detail and eye for quality are critical, along with an ability to grasp and present the product’s value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve buyer problems. Sales may pull this role into key deals for help with positioning, customized content, or presentation and demo support. Additionally, the role is responsible for compiling, assimilating, and assessing market, prospect, and customer feedback from all inputs, including sales, to share knowledge with the broader team.
