About The Position

The Genetec Product & Industry Marketing team is a skilled group of marketers who bridge the worlds of technology, sales, and our markets with ease and are experts on our buyers. As the ideal candidate, you are driven by success, understand marketing, but also naturally curious and at home with technology, making you a credible and reliable voice for the outbound messaging of our solutions. Reporting to the Manager of Product & Industry Marketing for access control solutions, you will form an important part of the outbound communication chain and, as such, will be measured on the effectiveness of your marketing plans, understanding of the market, and ability to drive strong demand for our access control portfolio. How will we help you succeed You will be set up for success by providing clear direction, context, and priorities, while removing blockers so you can focus on impactful launches. You’ll get regular feedback, coaching, and the autonomy to own your work and grow as a Product Marketing Manager.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of B2B marketing experience
  • Demonstrated success in working with Communications, Sales, and Product Management
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), with a strong command of Excel data analysis
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French, and you are comfortable speaking publicly
  • Curious and wants to learn all about what we do
  • You are an independent, fast-learning self-starter who wants to be part of a flourishing, curious, and innovative organization
  • You are an energetic, passionate, and driven team player
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Fluent in French and English, both verbal and written (this role requires interaction with our international collaborators and customers)

  • Strong understanding or technical knowledge of cloud B2B software
  • Proven experience planning and managing product launches, timelines, and dependencies in cross-collaboration
  • Knowledge of the industry

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing powerful messaging, bringing products to market, and helping colleagues to effectively position our portfolio of products
  • Accountable for the go-to-market plan, product launches, and ongoing activities
  • Develop smart, organized, and effective outbound campaigns and programs whilst collaborating closely with the product, sales, and marketing communications teams
  • Own the marketing and outbound messaging of our products
  • Define the value proposition and develop sales tools that support our marketing strategy
  • Act as a subject matter expert for access control solutions, providing guidance and input to internal stakeholders as needed
  • Preparing, supporting, and presenting at key speaking opportunities and events, including end users, channel partners, technology partners, and industry audiences
  • Understand the market, our technology partners, and competitors
  • Analyze market and channel data to create action plans that target buyers and markets
  • Train sales and the channel so they can easily position and sell your products
