Product Marketing Manager

Gradial•Seattle, WA

About The Position

Gradial is hiring a Product Marketing Manager to define the category and drive product marketing strategy as the company scales. The role owns how Gradial is positioned to executives, buyers, operators, analysts, and the broader market. Reporting to Product with a dotted line to Marketing, the position shapes the narrative across the company’s portfolio, including platform positioning, launches, customer stories, competitive strategy, and analyst relations. The Product Marketing Manager works closely with founders, product, sales, and customers to ensure Gradial communicates a clear, consistent story. This is a high-impact, builder-oriented role for someone who has joined an early-stage startup and helped drive it through significant growth as a category-defining business. The successful candidate will establish and defend positioning, make complex product capabilities clear to diverse audiences, build customer and market proof points, and lay the foundation for a future product marketing function.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, ideally at a product-led or category-creating company.
  • Experience joining an early-stage startup of roughly fewer than 250 employees and helping it scale significantly as a category-defining business.
  • Strong track record owning positioning, launches, competitive strategy, customer storytelling, and sales enablement.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create narratives that influence buyers, operators, analysts, and internal teams.
  • Ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear market value for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working closely with founders, product teams, and go-to-market teams in fast-moving environments with little existing structure.
  • High ownership and comfort working as a builder and individual contributor while laying the foundation for a future function.
  • Strong customer instincts and a habit of staying close to users, buyer pain points, objections, and product truth.
  • Confidence and judgment to make strategic messaging decisions and maintain them as the company grows.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a high-performing startup that scaled meaningfully from early stage to broad market adoption.
  • Familiarity with AI-native products, AI-leaning developer tools, or modern MarTech platforms.
  • Experience introducing a new category or making new market language stick in a competitive space.

Responsibilities

  • Define and defend Gradial’s positioning across its portfolio, keeping the homepage, pitch, launches, and market narrative consistent.
  • Name and shape the category through messaging, proprietary research, and memorable market language.
  • Own product and company messaging for executives, buyers, operators, and technical stakeholders across major channels.
  • Lead product launches end to end, including narrative, proof points, founder content, customer voice, and go-to-market coordination.
  • Build competitive positioning to support live deals against adjacent platforms, established incumbents, and agency alternatives.
  • Partner with Sales to sharpen differentiation, strengthen objection handling, and improve win rates.
  • Develop a repeatable engine for customer case studies, named talks, videos, PR moments, and co-marketing assets.
  • Speak frequently with customers and power users, using their insights to refine messaging and uncover proof points.
  • Own analyst relations across leading industry firms and shape market understanding of the category and Gradial’s position.
  • Protect clarity and consistency in company messaging as Gradial scales.
