Product Marketing Manager

Recurly•Austin, TX

About The Position

Recurly is hiring two Product Marketing Managers. One will own go-to-market for Recurly Subscription Management, and the other will own go-to-market for Recurly's Engage offering, which enables merchants to acquire, upsell, and retain subscribers with real-time, in-product experiences. Both roles report to the head of Product Marketing and will collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, CS, Finance, and other departments. The core responsibilities include understanding the buyer, owning positioning and messaging, competitive analysis, shaping pricing and packaging, leading product launches, enabling sales teams, gathering customer feedback for product roadmaps, informing demand generation strategies, driving adoption and expansion within the install base, and owning the commercial success of the product line.

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years in product marketing at a high-growth SaaS, payments, or fintech company.
  • A track record of positioning that changed how deals got won.
  • Direct experience enabling field teams. You know what sellers and account teams need in the first five minutes of a call.
  • Comfort with data. You can articulate what a past launch did to pipeline, win rate, or revenue.
  • Strong writing. Clear, direct, not jargon.
  • Ability to run several projects at once and hold a point of view while taking feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Be the person Product and the Field ask.
  • Own positioning and messaging. Build and maintain the messaging guide, including ICP, pillars, and proof points.
  • Make it sharp enough that sellers use it without you in the room.
  • Win against competitors. Track key competitors. Build playbooks and battlecards that tell sellers what to say and when to walk away.
  • Shape pricing and packaging. Work with Product Marketing leadership and Finance on packaging and pricing decisions, and turn them into something the field can sell.
  • Lead launches. Run cross-functional launches for new products and capabilities from plan to enablement to post-launch results.
  • Enable the field. Build training, decks, and tools that help reps close. Continuously monitor and show up on calls to hear what's landing.
  • Close the loop with Product. Bring customer input, market shifts, and competitive moves into roadmap conversations.
  • Brief Demand Gen and Content. Help inform demand gen campaign strategy with clear commercial goals of the product line and a point of view on how to target the market effectively.
  • Grow the install base. Partner with Product, Sales, and CS on adoption and expansion programs that drive retention and revenue.
