About The Position

Aspen Aerogels is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to help translate advanced aerogel technology, product platforms, and application value into clear, compelling, commercially useful marketing content. This role sits at the intersection of product, sales, technical, and marketing execution. The ideal candidate is a strong B2B product marketer who can understand complex technical products, turn them into simple customer-facing messages, and create the tools our sales and business development teams need to win. This person must be digitally fluent enough to guide resources, but the core need is a strong content-generating product marketer who can develop messaging, collateral, sales enablement, launch materials, proof points, and application-specific stories.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in B2B product marketing, technical marketing, commercialization, sales enablement, or related roles.
  • Experience marketing technical, industrial, engineered, energy, materials, automotive, infrastructure, or manufacturing-related products.
  • Strong writing skills, especially the ability to simplify technical information for commercial audiences.
  • Proven ability to create sales tools, product collateral, messaging frameworks, launch materials, and customer-facing content.
  • Comfortable working with technical teams and translating engineering or product data into business value.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently in a lean team environment.
  • Strong business judgment and ability to prioritize work based on commercial impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop clear product and application positioning for Aspen’s aerogel solutions across priority markets.
  • Translate technical capabilities into customer outcomes, business value, and differentiated reasons to believe.
  • Build messaging frameworks for products, applications, customer segments, and competitive situations.
  • Incorporate customer insights, buyer personas, and market dynamics into positioning and messaging frameworks.
  • Partner with sales, product management, engineering, and segment marketing to ensure messaging is accurate, useful, and commercially relevant.
  • Create consistent language for value propositions, proof points, use cases, objection handling, and customer-facing narratives.
  • Create high-quality sales and marketing content, including product and application one-pagers, sales decks, customer-facing presentations, battlecards, objection-handling guides, FAQs, case studies, proof-point summaries, launch materials, website copy, email content, and event messaging.
  • Maintain and improve the sales enablement library so the commercial team can find and use current, approved materials.
  • Continuously improve enablement effectiveness by assessing usage, field feedback, and impact on sales productivity and win rates.
  • Work directly with sales and business development to understand field needs, recurring objections, customer questions, and gaps in current tools.
  • Convert technical data, test results, and customer learnings into concise and usable commercial content.
  • Define and execute go-to-market strategies for new products, applications, and market expansions.
  • Lead cross-functional launch planning, ensuring alignment across product, sales, and marketing.
  • Translate product roadmaps into clear commercialization plans, messaging, and sales readiness assets.
  • Partner with internal marketing and segment resources to incorporate competitive intelligence into positioning, sales tools, and messaging.
  • Convert competitor and substitute analysis into clear guidance for the field.
  • Help define where Aspen should win, where Aspen should not compete, and how to explain that difference to customers.
  • Maintain competitive claims and product comparisons in partnership with technical and legal stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Work with digital marketing resources to execute website updates, digital campaigns, email programs, SEO, paid media, or marketing automation tasks.
  • Write or approve digital content briefs, campaign copy, landing page copy, and product page updates.
  • Ensure digital execution reflects accurate positioning, product claims, and commercial priorities.
  • Review basic performance data and recommend content or campaign improvements.
  • Evaluate performance data to identify opportunities to improve engagement, conversion, and pipeline contribution.
  • Act as the internal owner for content quality, not the hands-on executor of every digital task.
  • Work closely with sales, business development, product management, engineering, operations, finance, and external marketing partners.
  • Build strong working relationships with technical experts and convert their input into clear commercial language.
  • Manage multiple content and launch priorities without requiring heavy oversight.
  • Bring structure to ambiguous requests and drive work to completion.
