Requirements

  • 8-10 years in product marketing.
  • At least 2 years of experience at an early-stage company (Series A through Series B).
  • Experience operating as a team of 1.
  • Experience in both PLG (Product-Led Growth) and sales-led motions, or deep experience in one with demonstrated adaptability for the other.
  • Prior experience building out analyst relations strategy.
  • Customer Obsession: Instinctively wants to talk to customers and prospects. Builds positioning from evidence, not assumptions.
  • Writing ability: Proven experience writing short-form and long-form content with examples.
  • Marketing breadth: Understanding of campaign, channel, content, and comms strategy in addition to product marketing strategy.
  • Bias to action over perfection: Willingness to ship 80% this week rather than 95% next month and ability to iterate in public.
  • Experience developing marketing strategies and tactics that prioritize the customer and contribute to growth goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pricing and packaging decisions.
  • Organic content optimization experience.
  • Knowledge of AI-native infrastructure or strong desire to learn about this quickly.
  • Communications or PR experience.
  • Familiarity with product-led onboarding flows and in-app messaging.

  • Experience in adjacent B2B SaaS with similar buyer personas.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for sales regarding objection handling, pricing and packaging, competitive intelligence, and sales collateral.
  • Develop systems and processes for effective product launches, winning competitive deals, and expanding into new market segments.
  • Articulate new product value propositions and positioning to the sales team, while collaborating with Product Management and Engineering on the product roadmap.
  • Build and scale repeatable marketing systems and processes.
  • Balance strategic vision with operational excellence, from high-level team strategy to detailed launch planning and competitive research.
  • Collaborate closely with sales to create content, conduct training, and refine objection handling.
  • Orchestrate product launches, including creating GTM checklists, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Develop strong writing and storytelling skills adaptable to Mintlify's tone of voice and target audience.
