About The Position

Mirantis is seeking a Product Marketing Manager who is a blend of storyteller, strategist, and practitioner. This role requires someone with credible experience in Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies, capable of translating technical depth into effective content and sales enablement materials. As a core member of the platform marketing team, you will be responsible for the go-to-market narrative and content strategy for Mirantis' enterprise platform portfolio, including k0rdent AI Enterprise Edition, Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE), Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK), Mirantis Container Runtime (MCR), and Mirantis Secure Registry (MSR). These products are used by demanding infrastructure teams, including a significant portion of the Fortune 100. Your primary goal is to ensure potential buyers understand why Mirantis is the ideal partner for their critical workloads. You will collaborate closely with product management, solution architects, sales, and demand generation teams to develop content, messaging, and sales tools that accelerate deals and strengthen customer relationships. This is a high-impact, high-visibility individual contributor role with direct influence on revenue.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, or solutions marketing within the enterprise infrastructure, cloud-native, or DevOps sectors.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Kubernetes, including the ability to credibly discuss cluster lifecycle management, container runtimes, image registries, Helm, operators, and multi-cluster topologies with engineers.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing published work (blog posts, white papers, solution briefs, battlecards, sales decks) that demonstrates writing quality, technical accuracy, and narrative clarity.
  • Proven experience in building and delivering sales enablement programs, including conducting trainings and iterating based on field feedback.
  • Solid competitive analysis skills with experience profiling platforms such as Red Hat OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, or Rancher/SUSE.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills across various formats and audiences, capable of producing both technically precise white papers and concise executive summaries.
  • Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, distributed environment with a high degree of autonomy.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes in any capacity (personal projects, past engineering or DevOps roles).
  • Familiarity with OpenStack, virtualization-on-Kubernetes, or bare-metal infrastructure.
  • Experience with container runtimes or image registry concepts.
  • Exposure to enterprise sales cycles and the dynamics of selling infrastructure software to large organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Positioning & Messaging: Develop and maintain audience-specific messaging frameworks for MKE, MOSK, MCR, MSR, and k0rdent AI Enterprise Edition, covering technical narratives for practitioners to value propositions for C-suite executives. Articulate Mirantis' open, vendor-neutral philosophy and its differentiation from competitors like Red Hat OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, Rancher/SUSE, and hyperscaler cloud-native offerings. Align messaging with buyer personas including platform engineers, infrastructure architects, DevOps leads, and IT decision-makers.
  • Sales Enablement: Build and maintain a library of field-ready assets such as pitch decks, deep dive decks, battlecards, objection-handling guides, competitive one-pagers, ROI frameworks, and conversation guides. Conduct regular sales enablement sessions to train the sales team on new messaging, competitive intelligence, and product launches. Collaborate directly with pre-sales and solution architects to gather field insights and refine positioning.
  • Content Creation: Maintain a consistent cadence of high-quality content, including solution briefs, white papers, technical blog posts, case studies, reference architectures, demo scripts, and competitive comparisons. Produce content that spans the marketing funnel and resonates with practitioners. Translate complex Kubernetes, container runtime, and virtualization concepts into clear, understandable narratives.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitors in the enterprise container, virtualization, and cloud-native platform market, including Red Hat, VMware/Broadcom, Rancher/SUSE, and Canonical. Produce timely battlecards, win/loss analyses, and competitive updates to equip the sales team for competitive discussions.
  • Product Launches & Campaigns: Lead go-to-market planning for product releases, including launch kits, internal training, external announcements, and coordinated campaign assets. Partner with demand generation on assets tailored to key personas, such as webinar content, landing pages, emails, and nurture materials.
  • Market & Ecosystem Awareness: Track trends in enterprise Kubernetes, container security, cloud-native virtualization, and open-source infrastructure to inform go-to-market strategies. Contribute to analyst and media briefings and support Mirantis' presence in industry reports from firms like Gartner, Omdia, and IDC.
