Microsoft is hiring Principal and Senior Product Managers to shape security posture and risk through Microsoft Security Exposure Management (MSEM). MSEM provides organizations with a unified view of security posture across endpoints, cloud resources, identities, and external attack surfaces. It connects the enterprise exposure graph, critical assets, attack paths, security insights, and recommendations to help customers prioritize and mitigate risk. The role owns strategy and execution for a large portfolio area, defining AI-first security solutions that support clear decisions, coordinated action, and measurable risk reduction. Principal Product Managers establish AI-powered intelligence loops, own multi-year portfolio strategy and outcomes, lead zero-to-one development, define go-to-market strategy for major investments, and coordinate across Microsoft teams and external partners. Senior Product Managers identify and prioritize opportunities across feature areas, define product roadmaps and outcomes, lead end-to-end development, execute launches from private preview through general availability, and improve product performance through feedback, telemetry, experiments, and AI-driven analysis. The position requires a Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter. Compensation varies by level and location. For Product Management IC4, the typical U.S. base pay range is $119,800–$234,700 per year, or $160,200–$261,000 in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area. For Product Management IC5, the typical U.S. base pay range is $142,800–$274,800 per year, or $188,000–$304,200 in those locations. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
