Principal Product Managers-Security: Customer Voice and Product Insights

Microsoft•Redmond, WA
•$142,800 - $304,200

About The Position

Microsoft Security Engineering’s Customer Value Creation organization connects customer, partner, product usage, support, and other insights with product decision-makers to improve product experiences, accelerate adoption, and make Microsoft Security solutions easier to deploy, use, and support. Principal Product Managers own how post-launch customer feedback reaches Product Engineering and gets resolved for assigned Microsoft Security product areas. Product areas may change with business needs. The role leads a cross-functional virtual team using a shared, organization-wide framework to triage, prioritize, deliver, and close the loop on feedback about generally available products, including incident and non-incident items. The manager brings together signals from support, customers, field teams, partners, product usage, and research; applies analytics and AI-assisted analysis to identify patterns and prioritize issues; and distinguishes product gaps from configuration, integration, or operational challenges. Findings are turned into technically and commercially supported recommendations for Product Engineering, with clear decisions, rationale, timing, ownership, and follow-up communicated to customer-facing teams. The position works across Product, Engineering, support, field, partner, and subject matter expert teams, and may engage enterprise customers directly when firsthand context is needed. It defines data models, metrics, dashboards, and automation to improve traceability and speed decisions, and coaches peers and partner teams to adopt and improve the feedback process. The successful candidate brings product judgment, support and escalation expertise, technical depth in enterprise security and cloud architectures, and the ability to influence without direct authority. The role also provides technical thought leadership and models Microsoft values through inclusive collaboration, accountability, customer focus, and a growth mindset.
