About The Position

Fidelity Institutional is seeking a Product Manager of Portfolio Construction Solutions (PCS) to join Wealth Advisory Managed Solutions (WAMS). The role is accountable for implementing the development and maintenance of analytical tools used in the portfolio construction process. The tools support investment team members and Fidelity Institutional partners in discussions with external clients, and include platforms for portfolio risk and analytics, manager research, risk modeling, and optimization, as well as oversight of the data environment that enables those platforms.

The Product Manager facilitates requirements sessions with business partners, translates business needs into requirements, and works with the technology organization to deliver new features and functionality. Working with product leaders, analysts, engineers, and architects, this role contributes to solutions that support the growth of the Portfolio Construction Solutions business.

Wealth Advisory Managed Solutions aims to enable Fidelity Institutional to provide advice-driven investment solutions through high-value products, tools, and research insights. PCS supports Portfolio Engineering, Fundamental and Quantitative Manager Research, Alternatives/Private Market Manager Research, Portfolio Construction Tools & Analytics, Investment Oversight, and Investment Services. The teams work together to support clients’ wealth management strategies using Fidelity and third-party asset management partners.

Fidelity states that it will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position. The company is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout; onsite expectations vary by role and location and may evolve. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
• Customer-obsessed mindset and ability to translate user needs into measurable product improvements.
• Strong experience acting as a product manager or product owner across multiple and different product lifecycles.
• Highly effective interpersonal and teamwork skills to cultivate relationships across investment, technology, distribution, and other teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Motivation to work collaboratively to drive product initiatives from idea to market.

Nice To Haves

• Expertise in portfolio construction, investment management, or wealth management techniques.
• Knowledge of different investment products.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering for new features and enhancements to the portfolio construction platform.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions to business problems.
• Evaluate the rationale and value of proposed platform features and enhancements.
• Coordinate with developers, engineers, and UX designers to deliver product features and enhancements.
• Assist with developing and overseeing a robust portfolio construction data environment and platform for internal and external use.
• Ensure robust data quality checks are in place to enable use of the tools.
• Conduct product acceptance validation.
