About The Position

Fidelity Institutional is seeking a Product Manager of Portfolio Construction Solutions (PCS) to join Wealth Advisory Managed Solutions (WAMS). The role is accountable for implementing the development and maintenance of analytical tools used in portfolio construction, including platforms for portfolio risk and analytics, manager research, risk modeling, optimization, and the data environment that supports those platforms. The tools serve Investment team members and Fidelity Institutional partners in discussions with external clients.

The Product Manager facilitates requirements sessions with business partners, articulates business requirements, and works with the technology organization to deliver new features and functionality. The role works closely with product leaders, analysts, engineers, and architects to define solutions that support the growing PCS business.

WAMS enables Fidelity Institutional to provide advice-driven investment solutions through products, tools, and research insights. PCS supports groups including Portfolio Engineering; Fundamental and Quantitative Manager Research; Alternatives/Private Market Manager Research; Portfolio Construction Tools & Analytics; Investment Oversight; and Investment Services. Fidelity does not provide immigration sponsorship for this position. The company is transitioning to a full-time onsite model through a phased rollout, with expectations varying by role and location and subject to change.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
• Customer-focused mindset and ability to translate user needs into measurable product improvements.
• Strong experience acting as a product manager or product owner across multiple and different product lifecycles.
• Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills to build relationships across investment, technology, distribution, and other teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Motivation to collaborate and drive product initiatives from idea to market.

Nice To Haves

• Expertise in portfolio construction, investment management, or wealth management techniques.
• Knowledge of different investment products.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering for new features and enhancements to the portfolio construction platform.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions to business problems.
• Assess the purpose and value of proposed platform features and enhancements.
• Coordinate with developers, engineers, and UX designers to deliver product features and enhancements.
• Assist in developing and overseeing a robust portfolio construction data environment and platform for internal and external use.
• Ensure robust data quality checks are in place to support use of the tools.
• Conduct product acceptance validation.
