We are seeking an experienced Product Manager for the Neurology & Core Immunoassay (IA) portfolios, which represent over $300M in annual revenue. This role is crucial for developing comprehensive portfolio/product strategies, identifying product requirements and market potential for new IVD and Research Use Only (RUO) solutions in collaboration with Global and US teams, and managing existing Neurology and Core IA solutions in the US market. The position demands strong technical skills, exceptional project management and prioritization abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, and the capacity to lead and influence without direct authority. Effective collaboration and stakeholder management are essential, given the interaction with numerous business partners including Marketing, Sales, Customer Insights, Finance, Pricing, MSA, RSN, Customer Service, Regulatory, Supply and Demand Planning, and Global teams. The Product Manager will serve as the technical expert and the voice of the customer, ensuring the portfolio's continued competitiveness, quality, and market leadership. This is a pivotal role, especially given the dynamic nature of the Neurology market and the stable revenue contribution of Core IA, significantly impacting the long-term success of both areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Marketing, Business, Communications, Life Sciences/Neurology or other related fields.
  • 5 years of product management, marketing, business, sales, or related business experience, or equivalent work experience in the healthcare industry.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years in Medical Diagnostics, preferably in a Product Management or PM-related commercial/medical role.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, primarily in data-driven decision making, developing financial business cases and pricing recommendations, and forecasting.
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills; able to influence across a wider stakeholder network to ensure business needs are met/exceeded.
  • Technical aptitude, with experience acting as a technical leader OR proven ability to learn and speak to technical topics.
  • Understanding of the Neurology market, customer needs, and competitor solutions, or similar understanding of the broader Core Lab market.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to independently drive multiple projects, prioritize based on business-critical needs, and independently make decisions and recommendations that represent and align to overall business and portfolio strategy.
  • Understanding of laboratory operations, health systems, diagnostics business, and/or the proven ability to learn quickly.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and validation/verification processes for diagnostic products, laboratory accrediting agency knowledge (e.g., understanding accreditation standards and impact on product development/validation).
  • Clinical liaison skills, with ability to engage clinicians and laboratorians to inform product strategy and usage.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google suite tools.
  • Ability to travel in the continental US or globally as dictated by business need.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive portfolio/product strategy, including product requirements, pricing strategy, and launch logistics to achieve business objectives.
  • Gathering customer insights and using them to influence the global Lifecycle Team on product requirements for new and existing solutions.
  • Partnering closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, Neurology, to develop and execute a comprehensive portfolio strategy and drive adoption of new and existing solutions across the US.
  • Collaborating effectively with a broad stakeholder network, including Marketing, Sales, Customer Insights, Finance, Pricing, MSA, RSN, Customer Service, Regulatory, Supply and Demand Planning, and Global teams, as a key member of the US Neuro Squad and other product teams.
  • Serving as the main US owner of the full Core Lab Research Use Only (RUO) portfolio and pipeline, working with Global, Launch Change Management, and Supply Chain to introduce new innovations to customers.
  • Developing business cases and pricing strategies for Neurology, RUO, and Core IA assays in development or in the pipeline, and analyzing the performance of on-market and upcoming products to support annual business planning.
  • Gathering input and data to create product forecasts and business plans that drive growth for assigned products, in conjunction with the demand planning team.
  • Forecasting demand and financial impact for new and existing diagnostic products using data-driven projections and scenario planning to inform go-to-market and development decisions.
  • Developing deep business area mastery, including understanding market segments, forecasting sales and product demand, market trends, competition, critical success factors, and customer needs through stakeholder interactions.
  • Supporting customer conversations and presentations, including customer meetings, IHN visits, 360 events, and medical conferences, in partnership with the Sr Marketing Manager, Clinical Specialists, and MSA.
  • Instilling leadership through others by acting as a role model to drive impactful business solutions and positive change, encouraging, motivating, and empowering others, and helping them succeed.
