The Product Manager II - Shoulder will support the organization in executing new product developments, limited market release introductions and full go-to-market initiations required in the product management & development process. This includes business plan projections, forecasting and budgeting, portfolio management, marketing collateral development, customer relationship management, and education initiatives for both surgeons and sales personnel. Interfacing with key stakeholders (external, Franklin-based, and Memphis-based), the Product Manager II shall take all appropriate steps to meet customer and sales force expectations and resolve instrument and implant issues that may arise with their product lines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Marketing, Biologic Science, Engineering (Mechanical or Biomechanical) or equivalent degree.
A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Medical Device with roles in Marketing, Product Management, Sales and/or Engineering.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Skilled in interpersonal communication and customer relationship building.
Outstanding organizational development skills and attention to detail with follow-up are necessary.
Problem Solving/Decision Making - Independent, proactive judgment is employed in problem prevention/solving relating to product development, product management customer management, sales enablement, strategy, and procedures. Considerable discretion and judgment are exercised in decision-making using data-driven decisions autonomously.
Strong collaboration and teamwork ability. Must be able to manage relationships between internal and external stakeholders in a positive manner.
PC/Microsoft Office software suite, Mac/iOS, general office equipment, and orthopedic instruments.

Nice To Haves

Participation in cadaveric workshops requires standing for prolonged periods, as well as lifting and moving instrument trays up to 30 pounds each.
Additional tasks may require reaching, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.

Responsibilities

Manages day-to-day progress of assigned product lines.
Participates in business planning process for product strategy, research initiatives, development efforts, budgeting, and planning and forecasting for assigned product lines.
Provides input into product/development pipeline process for assigned procedural areas to ensure US needs are identified and met for sales enablement.
Develop marketing strategies and product launches with clear execution plans that are consistent with Medacta’s global strategy and the US commercial team.
Provides technical expertise, support and training to the sales force and surgeons.
Conducts marketing research to remain informed about competitive products. Prepare competitive reviews and produce sales aids to assist the sales force.
Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for products.
Plans, organizes, and coordinates assigned programs to ensure the accomplishment of financial/budgetary goals and optimum allocation of resources.
Manages resources to execute assigned programs.
Coordinates product introduction and market exploitation with marketing and sales organizations to ensure maximum penetration of the market segment.
Provides continuing product surveillance and management of established products to obtain financial objectives.
Determines operations in the development and maintenance of product planning and forecasting as it relates to the U.S. market for new and established products. This includes new product rollout and product sample organization.
Provide guidance and support to sales personnel's needs.
Development and execution of a comprehensive product and sales training programs.
Coordinate with director on specific product plans to organize, monitor, and accelerate product / procedural adoption and key account conversions.
Strengthen and build key customer relationships with new and prospective clients through on-site visits, case attendance, tradeshow meetings, etc.
Collect and provide feedback from VOC on an ongoing basis.
Responsible for ensuring that all customer requirements are met, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Includes monitoring test reports, documentation of limited market release product progress, etc.
Lead discussions around branding strategy, product positioning, and messaging to complement and accelerate marketing plans (in concert with MarCom partners).
Lead product brand’s Social Media presence.
Collaborates and provides input with Medacta International on a frequent basis on all product management matters.
Create marketing collaterals as needed with collaboration from MarCom and MINT partners.
Attend ALL MORE training events, set up, and breakdowns, and be the point person for all material needs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
