About The Position

Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what we could accomplish. The Finance Transformation team is evolving from a project-centric delivery model to a product-led mindset, ensuring our internal tools are as intuitive and innovative as the products Apple sells. We are looking for a Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of business needs and technical solutions. As a Data Product Manager within Apple's Finance organization, you will own the strategy, definition, and delivery of Finance Data Products — the curated, governed, high-quality data assets that power everything from internal reporting and audit compliance to AI-driven forecasting and intelligent business operations.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in data, product management, analytics, or engineering roles, preferably in finance or fintech.
  • BS/BA degree required in Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong product mindset with experience owning and scaling data or platform products.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Strong understanding of SQL and data transformation frameworks (dbt preferred)
  • Familiarity with data catalogs and governance tools (DataHub, Collibra)
  • Exposure to semantic layer tools (Cube, AtScale, LookML, or similar)
  • Good understanding of finance processes and data (GL, P&L, forecasting, reporting).
  • Experience working in governed environments with data quality, lineage, and compliance considerations.
  • Ability to bridge business and engineering teams and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the vision, roadmap, and delivery of finance data products that are reliable, governed, and aligned to business outcomes.
  • Work closely with finance stakeholders (FP&A, controllership, treasury), data engineers, architects, and governance teams to ensure data products are not only well-designed but also successfully adopted.
  • Discuss financial metrics with business leaders and dive into technical discussions around data modeling, transformation pipelines, semantic layers, and metadata platforms.
  • Define what it means to be a Data Product Manager in one of the most complex Finance environments in the world — setting standards, influencing architecture, and building a practice that scales across the organization.
