About the position
As a product manager at Fox Robotics, the role involves defining the future of warehouse automation by developing a self-driving forklift and web/mobile services. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to turn the vision into reality. The job responsibilities include market analysis and strategy, execution, launch and sales enablement. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a product manager and knowledge of warehousing, logistics, automation, and/or robotics.
Responsibilities
- Identify, collect, analyze, and create a clear articulation of the market problems. Demonstrate that these problems are urgent and the market is willing to pay for solutions.
- Establish and maintain feature requests & enhancement ideas emanating internally and externally. Prioritize ruthlessly to meet the needs of our customers, market and our company.
- Analyze and regularly update our competitive position. Conduct regular Win/Loss analysis and identify product, messaging, and go-to-market strategies to win.
- Define and drive the business case to align internal processes, from roadmaps to development to go-to-market.
- Provide insights and market context to empower product designers and developers to make design choices with greater autonomy.
- Define MVPs and write detailed feature requirements with clearly defined acceptance criteria.
- Contribute to backlog grooming and release/sprint planning, working closely with development engineering.
- Assist in planning, monitoring and communicating progress for directly responsible initiatives.
- Analyze key results to determine outcome and impact, capture feedback and provide input to iterate and refine our product roadmaps and backlogs.
- Map the buying process and criteria used to evaluate solutions and vendors. Outline the decision-making unit and craft buyer personas in collaboration with the sales team.
- Identify and develop sizzle demonstrations for our served markets.
- Assist the sales and product marketing teams with messaging; help to align the sales & buying processes.
- Train our channels and internal teams on market needs and positioning, competitive deltas and product features.
- Soup to nuts ownership of a minimum of two product releases, preferably with software and hardware interplay.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a product manager working within a highly cross functional organization with a mix of software developers, firmware engineers, electrical and mechanical engineers.
- An engineering background or hands-on product development experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of warehousing and logistics, automation and/or robotics will be a bonus.
