About The Position

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Product Line Manager will exhibit a strong understanding of information flow and product flow within a manufacturing environment. In addition to having a problem solving, go getter personality, the ideal candidate must be able to identify cost saving opportunities with respect to the operation and personnel.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven managerial experience
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, financials, resource allocation and human resources)
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Good command of the English language (Spanish bi-lingual a plus)
  • 6+ years of manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

  • Oversees daily activities of the product line, including production and shipping performance.
  • Manage production schedules to meet customer requirements, cost and quality goals. Including interfacing with quality, supply chain, HR and other disciplines to achieve goals.
  • Facilitate team communication and conflict resolution including team learning of process or interpersonal skills.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve production metrics and financial performance.
  • Lead the production line function by collaboratively overseeing all other aspects of the production environment including: safety culture, quality, developing subordinates, maintenance, interfacing with customers, and financial results.
  • Contribute to the success of Dynamic’s business by sharing information and applying company-wide best practices.
  • Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Assures product and process quality by testing finished product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
  • Oversees design and development projects while ensuring training of technicians.
  • Oversees installation to ensure tools and equipment are installed and functioning according to the needs of the product.
  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to meet our customers’ expectations
  • Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
  • Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff
  • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste and/or overtime
