Job Overview The Men’s Product Line Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, architecture, and performance of UNRL’s Men’s product assortment. This role translates consumer needs, brand strategy, market opportunities, and business objectives into a clear product roadmap and cohesive seasonal assortments. Reporting to the Head of Product, the Men’s Product Line Manager partners closely with Design and Product Development to bring the Men’s product vision to life, while collaborating with Planning, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure the assortment supports consumer demand, profitable growth, and UNRL’s long-term brand strategy. This role is responsible for defining what we build, who we build it for, why it matters, how it is positioned, and how the assortment works together.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in merchandising, product management, line management, or related apparel/product roles.
  • Strong merchandising expertise with experience developing seasonal assortments and product strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate consumer insights and business opportunities into actionable product strategies.
  • Experience building assortment architecture across categories, price points, and consumer use cases.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, margin, product lifecycle management, and assortment productivity.
  • Experience partnering closely with Design and Product Development teams.
  • Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional teams and driving decisions without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial or high-growth organization preferred.
  • Strong understanding of merchandising, assortment planning, line architecture, and product lifecycle management.
  • Ability to interpret customers, sales, margin, inventory, and market data to inform product decisions.
  • Strong understanding of pricing architecture, margin, and product positioning.
  • Ability to develop clear, actionable product briefs.
  • Strong knowledge of seasonal product creation and GTM calendars.
  • Ability to evaluate product performance and translate findings into future assortment decisions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Product Management, Business, Apparel, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience within premium apparel, golf, performance, lifestyle, or consumer brands.
  • Experience working across both direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels.
  • Experience managing products across multiple categories and use cases.
  • Experience building or scaling a product line within a high-growth organization.
  • Experience with PLM, merchandising, planning, or product creation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Men’s product line strategy and long-range product roadmap.
  • Develop seasonal assortment architecture across categories, collections, use cases, and price points.
  • Identify consumer needs, market opportunities, assortment gaps, and emerging trends to inform product strategy.
  • Create clear product briefs that define the customer need, product purpose, positioning, key requirements, and business opportunity.
  • Establish seasonal product priorities and maintain clarity around where the organization should focus on its resources and investment.
  • Define pricing architecture and product positioning to create a clear and differentiated assortment.
  • Build cohesive collections that merchandise effectively across categories, colors, use cases, and consumer needs.
  • Partner closely with Design to translate product strategy and consumer insights into differentiated compelling products.
  • Partner with Product Development to achieve product cost, quality, performance, commercialization, and timeline objectives.
  • Manage the product lifecycle, including newness, carryover, core, seasonal, and end-of-life decisions.
  • Evaluate product and assortment performance to identify opportunities to improve productivity, profitability, and consumer adoption.
  • Lead key Men’s product and assortment reviews, driving timely decisions and cross-functional alignment.
  • Partner with Planning, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain to align Men’s product priorities with demand, inventory, margin, GTM, and business objectives.
