About The Position

This is a fully remote, reduced-hours, non-partnership position on a Products Liability & Complex Litigation team at an AmLaw 50 firm. The attorney will defend manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and retailers in high-stakes product liability and toxic tort disputes, including matters involving technology, artificial intelligence, robotics, automotive products, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and consumer products. The role offers substantial responsibility, independent management of litigation matters, direct client interaction, and collaboration with nationally recognized trial attorneys and national and global litigation teams. Candidates outside the Western United States must be willing to work West Coast business hours. Salary is $225,000–$250,000.

Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) from a top-tier law school and an excellent academic record.
At least 6 years of substantive litigation experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation.
Active bar admission in good standing in the candidate’s state of residence and in California or Washington, or eligibility to waive into the applicable jurisdiction.
Significant experience defending manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors in product liability and toxic tort matters.
Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters with minimal supervision.
Strong legal research, writing, briefing, and oral advocacy skills.
Experience managing written discovery and document collection, review, and production.
Familiarity with scientific, technical, causation, and failure-analysis issues.
Experience with multidistrict litigation and/or coordinated state court litigation.
Excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Candidates residing outside the Western United States must be willing to work West Coast business hours.

Responsibilities

Defend manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, and retailers in complex product liability and toxic tort litigation.
Manage litigation phases, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and client communications.
Support national and global litigation teams handling multidistrict litigation and coordinated state court proceedings.
Manage document discovery, including collection, review, and production.
Evaluate technical and scientific evidence, including causation and failure analysis.
Work with partners, associates, and clients to develop litigation strategies.
Independently manage case responsibilities while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
