Product Leader, Software
About The Position
Formlabs is seeking a Product Leader to join their Software team. This role is responsible for crafting, maintaining, and executing the software roadmap in collaboration with engineering teams and shaping the user experience of their products. The Product Leader will oversee all aspects of Software Product Management at Formlabs, focusing on customer obsession and forward-thinking strategies. The software product portfolio includes Firmware/UI for 3D printers, Desktop software (Preform), IoT solutions (Dashboard) for printer connectivity, and Workflows for industry-specific integrations and products.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a product management role.
- Previous experience leading a team with direct reports.
- Drive processes forward and have a bias for action.
- Enable your team to do their best work.
Nice To Haves
- Preferably have a computer science or embedded engineering background.
- Started a company/new product from scratch before.
- Experience scaling teams.
- Track record of leading high performing teams.
- Experience in the B2B tech space.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team through the full product life cycle: conception, development, launch, and commercialization.
- Impact decision-making within and outside the software engineering realm, collaborating with leaders from various disciplines due to the interconnectedness of software, hardware, and material products.
- Understand the user through research and competitive analysis, anticipating market needs and identifying opportunities for Formlabs.
- Serve as a product thought leader and subject matter expert for the company.
- Mentor and develop existing product management team members.
- Prioritize hiring and identify top talent for the team.
- Navigate ambiguity to develop a roadmap, comfortable with building novel solutions.
