Product Leader, Software
About The Position
Formlabs is seeking a Product Leader to join their Software team. This role is responsible for crafting, maintaining, and executing the software roadmap in collaboration with engineering teams, and shaping the user experience of their products. The Product Leader will oversee all aspects of Software Product Management, focusing on customer obsession and forward-thinking strategies. The software portfolio includes Firmware/UI for 3D printers, Desktop software (Preform), IoT solutions (Dashboard) for remote monitoring, and Workflow integrations for industries like manufacturing and dental.
Requirements
- Preferably have a computer science or embedded engineering background.
- At least 5 years of experience in a product management role.
- Previous experience leading a team with direct reports.
- Drive processes forward and have a bias for action.
- Enable your team to do their best work.

- Started a company/new product from scratch before.
- Experience scaling teams.
- Track record of leading high-performing teams.
- Experience in the B2B tech space.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team through the full product life cycle: conception, development, launch, and commercialization.
- Impact decision-making across software and hardware/material product development.
- Collaborate with leaders from various disciplines.
- Understand users through research and competitive analysis.
- Anticipate market needs and identify areas for Formlabs to excel.
- Serve as a product thought leader and subject matter expert for the company.
- Mentor and develop existing product management team members.
- Prioritize hiring and identify top talent for the team.
- Navigate ambiguity to develop a product roadmap.
- Be comfortable with building novel products and features.
