PRODUCT LEAD

MerokaMontreal, QC

About The Position

The product is at its earliest stage, and we mean that as a selling point. We're not looking for a traditional product manager to tend a backlog — we're looking for an entrepreneur who will dive into this product and obsess over it like it's their own company. Someone with real taste and a keen eye for design, the structure to build and hold a roadmap, and the creative, entrepreneurial instinct to invent what doesn't exist yet. This is a high-ownership, founding-in-nature seat. You'll shape what the product becomes and, to a large degree, what this role becomes. What makes it rare is where you get to build: not toward a demo, but into real field operations for businesses we own. You'll spend as much time with field workers and customers as you do at a whiteboard, and the loop between the two is where the best product decisions will come from. This Is Not For You If… You need a fully scoped backlog before you can move, rather than building the roadmap as you go. You'd rather perfect a product from behind a desk than get on-site and watch real people use it. "Product manager" to you means running process, not inventing the thing itself. You want the safety of something already built rather than the blank page.

Requirements

  • You've built something of your own — a company, a product, a venture — and you think like a founder, not a ticket-taker.
  • Real design taste and instinct for the user, paired with the structure to bring order to ambiguity and keep a roadmap honest.
  • Comfortable at every altitude: high-level strategy one hour, pixel- and workflow-level detail the next.
  • You'd rather be close to real users in the real world than behind a desk theorizing about them.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to the physical or built world — construction, trades, field services, logistics.
  • A track record taking a product from zero to its first real users.
  • Enough design or technical fluency to prototype, or at least speak fluently to those who do.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision and roadmap from a near-blank page — turn the messy reality of field operations into something people genuinely want to use.
  • Obsess over craft and design: make the calls on what to build, what to cut, and what "good" actually looks like.
  • Get into the field with our customers and their crews, and turn what you learn on-site into product.
  • Move fast against a deliberate plan, partnering closely with engineering, operations, and leadership.
  • Set the bar for how product gets done here, and build the team beneath you as we grow.
