Lead Product Architect
About The Position
IBS Software Americas, Inc. is seeking a Lead Product Architect to be responsible for designing and developing interface integration aspects of iTravel-Cruise, a product that offers a next-generation cruise vacation experience platform with external systems, considering scalability, portability, and performance aspects. The role involves working closely with the customer to understand business requirements and implement solutions from both functional and technical perspectives. The Lead Product Architect will perform continuous evaluation of different technology stacks and industry trends, suggesting best practices, technology upgrades, or new design models to enhance the product's capabilities. This position will be involved in technical deep dives with lead product architects to discuss future roadmap items, areas for improvement, and product capability assessments to enhance business value. The role also includes providing technical guidance and training to developers and engineers, conducting Proof of Concepts (POCs), performing customer demos, and gathering feedback for further tuning. Responsibilities extend to converting technical details into test-driven development, managing User Interface design and development, conducting technical workshops with customers for integration approaches and development plans, and collaborating with enterprise technical experts to finalize deployment models and infrastructure cost assessments. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days with manager approval.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 8 years of work experience in design and development of travel platforms for the cruise industry.
- Experience integrating travel platforms with other enterprise systems.
- Experience designing and developing solutions in Java, Spring framework, Database technologies, and Client-side frameworks such as JavaScript and Angular.
- Experience designing applications based on microservices-based architecture.
- Experience monitoring performance of enterprise solutions and performing optimization of slow running services.
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud based solutions for mission critical B2B (business-to-business) systems.
- Experience with project management tools including JIRA.
- Experience with release and deployment pipeline tools including JENKINS.
- Experience coordinating with a variety of stakeholders to understand, execute, and get alignment on program vision and business goals.
