About The Position

Our site in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Product Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. The New Product Development group is looking for a motivated and team-oriented individual to join our dynamic and collaborative group focused on product development for our reticle handling products as an engineering Co-Op. The core purpose of this role is to support the engineering team with improving manufacturability and measurability of our products, minor design work, researching new technologies, etc. This position reports to the Engineering Director and receives work instruction from all engineers within the group.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of May 2027 or later.
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program
  • Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records, documentation, and organized work practices
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and work independently after initial training
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo (Pro/ENGINEER), or similar through coursework, projects, or internships is preferred
  • Would consider students enrolled in a graduate program

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and document engineering experiments, including analyzing and presenting results to the team
  • Design, build, and evaluate test fixtures and manufacturing support fixtures
  • Assist with product development activities, including prototype assembly, testing, and performance evaluations
  • Support efforts to improve product manufacturability, measurement methods, and overall design robustness
  • Research emerging technologies, materials, and engineering solutions to support new product development initiatives
  • Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional project discussions
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation, test procedures, and technical reports
  • Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot technical challenges and identify improvement opportunities
