About The Position

The Product Engineer II serves as a technical leader across disciplines and technologies, assisting management in meeting strategic initiatives. The role drives team proficiency, ensures best practices are followed, and supports delivery of quality solutions. The position works on enterprise-level product engineering solutions, customer requirements, technology projects, technical escalations, and research into new technologies and business practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, Manufacturing, or another related Engineering field and at least 5 years of related work experience; or a Master’s degree and 3 years of related work experience; or a PhD with no years of experience.
At least 2 years of experience with engineering change notices.
Proven knowledge of BOM creation and management in SAP.
BOM management experience is mandatory.
Proficiency across multiple disciplines and/or technologies.
Fluency in business processes and best practices.
Advanced electronics skills related to computer hardware.
Advanced design and architecture experience.
In-circuit and functional test experience.
Experience managing NPI processes.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Work independently in a technical lead role.
Review and evaluate technologies that may benefit current and upcoming project work.
Participate in the design and implementation of Technology Services projects.
Work with customers to determine requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.
Align Product Engineering solutions with the overall Technology Services strategy.
Design enterprise-level solutions with a medium level of guidance.
Analyze project issues and identify their root causes.
Define and ensure adherence to best practices.
Act as an escalation point for technical issues and support.
Identify and communicate business risks.
Mentor regional and site resources on processes and techniques to improve team proficiency.
Research and analyze new technology and business practices with the team.
Support other team members' duties and responsibilities as required.
Follow applicable safety and health rules and regulations.
Comply with company security procedures.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
