Product Design

Urban Ridge Supplies•New York, NY

About The Position

Clay is seeking an early product designer to rethink how people work with data and build software in Clay. The role applies design and product knowledge to make complex, data-driven workflows more intuitive, flexible, and seamless. You will work across the product, design and maintain core features and infrastructure, and take substantial ownership of initiatives. The work includes exploring how to deliver customer value, designing scalable product architecture, onboarding users around specific use cases, making interfaces understandable to non-developers, and helping customers move naturally between product areas. The designer will collaborate closely with the team, communicate and exchange feedback, conduct user research, analyze customer feedback, and help prioritize the roadmap. The role also involves prototyping novel interaction patterns and producing polished, pixel-perfect designs for software that changes and responds over time. Clay describes its culture as high-trust and ownership-focused, and says employees can work with coaches who specialize in areas including creativity and management.
