About The Position

Tinder is hiring a Product Design Intern for a program running from June 1 through August 31, 2027. The role is hybrid and requires in-office collaboration in the West Hollywood office three times per week.

The intern will collaborate with product designers on new product development and contribute design ideas to a global brand. The work includes creating UX designs, prototypes, UI mockups, wireframes, flowcharts, and components; participating in design sprints with cross-functional partners; contributing to user research and usability testing; and helping develop Tinder’s design system and new design patterns. The intern will also brainstorm product experiences and present work for feedback in design critiques and cross-functional reviews.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university or college program studying Design, Product Design, UX, or HCI.
• Experience in product design, UI design, and/or UX design.
• Strong product instincts and UX skills.
• Visual design, layout, and typography skills.
• An eye for simplicity and visual harmony.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools such as Figma, Protopie, Adobe XD, Invision, or Principle.
• Curiosity about how design decisions impact user behavior and business outcomes.
• Comfort working in ambiguity and iterating quickly.
• Eagerness to learn from feedback and collaborate in a diverse, global team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product designers on new product development.
• Create UX designs, prototypes, UI mockups, wireframes, flowcharts, and components.
• Participate in product design sprints and co-create solutions with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Data Science partners.
• Contribute to user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and product strategy.
• Help design components for Tinder’s design system and experiment with new design patterns.
• Brainstorm and ideate product experiences that bring Tinder’s mission and values to life.
• Present design work for feedback in design critiques and cross-functional reviews.
