About The Position

The Product Configuration Engineer develops, maintains, and improves product configuration models, CPQ rules, and engineering data supporting accurate product configuration, quoting, and manufacturing execution. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role works with engineering, product development, sales, and manufacturing teams to translate product requirements into effective configuration solutions, maintain data integrity, improve processes, and ensure configurable products can be accurately quoted, engineered, and produced. The position is offered at Associate (Level I) and Staff (Level II) levels, with each level involving increasing scope, autonomy, and ownership. At Level I, the engineer assists with CPQ rules, product structures, engineering data, BOMs, routings, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, product introductions and updates, product data management, and change management. At Level II, the engineer develops and maintains configuration models and data, tests and troubleshoots outputs, supports product launches and changes in CPQ and ERP systems, coordinates production ruleset launches, contributes to standardization and continuous improvement, supports users, and participates in cross-functional projects. The role is based in Carson, California, with minimal travel of approximately 5–10%. Work takes place in both office and manufacturing environments. The office uses standard office equipment and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions. The plant environment may involve hot or cold temperatures, uneven walking surfaces, intermittent loud noise, and dusty or dirty conditions; specified personal protective equipment is required there.
