Configuration Engineer

Czinger•Torrance, CA

About The Position

The Configuration Engineer manages product data and configuration processes that support development, production, and evolution of Czinger Vehicles’ Hypercar programs throughout the product lifecycle. The role covers product definition, engineering bills of materials, variants and options, engineering changes, and customer specifications. The engineer maintains product configuration and definition, including product structures, part and revision data, configuration logic, effectivity, and customer specifications. They work with engineering teams to protect product-data integrity, resolve definition gaps and inconsistencies, and proactively identify data-quality issues. They analyze and coordinate engineering changes from release through implementation, including impacts to vehicle configurations, production builds, inventory, procurement, and timing. The role supports existing production models, new model and variant introductions, and future vehicle programs. It also establishes and maintains configuration-management standards and processes, and drives scalable improvements to workflows, reporting, data-quality checks, automation, and supporting tools. The position operates in a fast-paced product-development and low-volume manufacturing environment, with future product development taking place alongside ongoing production. Work is primarily computer-based and involves engineering systems, technical documentation, product data, and large datasets, with occasional work in production and warehouse environments.
