About The Position

The Product Application Engineer Intern will support validation and testing of enterprise PCIe NVMe SSDs (eSSDs) at SK hynix Memory Solution in San Jose. The team conducts system-level tests, feature validation, and bug analysis to help ensure product reliability. The internship lasts six months and is scheduled for 40 hours per week. Compensation is $35–$45 per hour.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, or C++.
• Familiarity with software testing or automation scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience working with or integrating advanced AI models, such as GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, or AS-mhks.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Linux or Windows operating systems, command-line tools, and storage utilities.
• Previous related project experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for PCIe and NVMe enterprise SSDs, monitor test progress, identify potential issues, and prepare detailed reports to check alignment with design specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards.
• Analyze test results and logs, and conduct root-cause analysis of failures.
• Collaborate with SOC, Firmware, and Hardware teams to reproduce, analyze, and resolve device- and system-level issues.
• Coordinate debugging efforts to support integration, system reliability, and product quality through proactive communication and teamwork.
