About The Position

SK Hynix Memory Solution is seeking a Product Application Engineer Intern to support validation and testing of enterprise PCIe NVMe SSDs. The team performs system-level tests, feature validation, and bug analysis to ensure product reliability. The intern will develop and execute test plans, monitor testing, analyze results and logs, and work with SOC, Firmware, and Hardware teams to investigate and resolve device- and system-level issues. The internship lasts six months and is located in San Jose, with a schedule of 40 hours per week. Compensation is $35–$45 per hour.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C, or C++.
• Familiarity with software testing or automation scripting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience working with or integrating advanced AI models, such as GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, or AS-mhks.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Linux or Windows operating systems, command-line tools, and storage utilities.
• Previous related project experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for PCIe and NVMe enterprise SSDs, monitor test progress, identify potential issues, and deliver detailed reports aligned with design specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards.
• Analyze test results and logs and drive root-cause analysis for failures.
• Collaborate with SOC, Firmware, and Hardware teams to reproduce, analyze, and resolve device- and system-level issues.
• Coordinate debugging efforts and communicate proactively to support robust integration, system reliability, and product quality.
