About The Position

WFMY-TV Greensboro, a TEGNA-owned CBS affiliate, is seeking an innovative Producer to shape daily newscasts and create engaging, informative content for streaming, broadcast, and digital platforms. The role emphasizes original storytelling, investigative journalism, community engagement, and accurate, fair local reporting. The Producer will collaborate with a team, use modern tools and workflows, and bring an authentic, captivating voice to storytelling and writing. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred in journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
1–3 years of news content experience.
Top-notch communication skills.
Solid journalistic judgment and a news philosophy emphasizing accurate, fair, and unique local content, along with community engagement.
Understanding of the tenets of professional journalism.
Skills in producing engaging, content-driven newscasts and digital content.
Strong social media skills, including an active news presence on preferred social platforms.
Organizational skills and ability to work under time pressure and deadlines.
Ability to calmly handle live, breaking news situations and changing events.
