About The Position

Simantel is seeking an experienced, organized and solutions-oriented Producer to join its Simantel Motion Studio team. The Producer leads the planning and execution of video productions from approved scope through final delivery, turning creative concepts into practical production plans and coordinating the people, information, decisions and logistics needed to move projects forward. The role balances quality, timing, budget, scope and risk while providing proactive communication to clients and internal teams. The Producer is the primary production owner for internally led projects, working in the office and in the field as project needs dictate. Responsibilities span kickoff, pre-production, on-location production and the handoff to post-production. The Producer may serve as field producer when production size, complexity or client needs require it, and mentors and supports assigned production staff while recommending improvements to production workflows and project execution. Simantel is an industrial marketing company with approximately 40 years of experience and offices in downtown Peoria, Illinois. The position is based in Peoria and offers a remote or hybrid schedule, with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday and the option to work remotely Monday and Friday. Production schedules may require travel and on-location work depending on project requirements. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Simantel cannot provide employment visa sponsorship. Salary is based on experience and qualifications, in alignment with the level of responsibility assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional production, agency production or related project leadership experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial video production, including crew structures, pre-production, field production, post-production and vendor management.
  • Sound production judgment and the ability to understand how creative ambition affects scope, staffing, schedule and budget.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead production discussions, communicate tradeoffs clearly and earn the trust of clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented thinking, including the ability to anticipate production needs and resolve issues before they affect delivery.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead internally produced Simantel Motion Studio projects from kickoff through delivery, coordinating the people, information and decisions needed to keep work moving.
  • Develop practical production plans that support the creative idea while balancing quality, budget, timing and available resources.
  • Translate approved creative concepts into clear schedules, crew plans, logistics and production expectations.
  • Build and maintain production schedules, internal calendars, crew plans, roles and responsibilities, and other pre-production documentation.
  • Provide proactive communication so clients and internal teams understand production plans, responsibilities, timing and changes.
  • Partner with Studio Operations and Estimating to provide scope, crew, vendor, schedule and logistics inputs for estimates, then monitor actuals against the approved plan.
  • Serve as field producer when production size, complexity or client needs require it, managing crew logistics, schedule, client communication and day-of issues while maintaining oversight of scope and budget.
  • Coordinate production logistics, including travel, lodging, ground transportation, call sheets, releases, permits, meals, vendors, purchase orders and other project-specific needs.
  • Ensure a clear handoff into post-production.
  • Mentor and support assigned production staff.
  • Identify risks early and recommend practical improvements to Simantel Motion Studio production workflows and project execution.
  • Keep productions aligned with approved scope and budget while protecting work quality and resolving issues that could affect delivery.
