About The Position

The Produce position is a part-time, union role at Cub Foods Silver Lake. The employee reports to the Produce Manager and is paid on a progressive scale up to $18.00 per hour, based on experience. Hours vary across Sunday through Saturday. The role involves serving customers, stocking and rotating produce, assisting with receiving and merchandising, maintaining store cleanliness, and contributing to department operations as part of a team. Some lifting is required. Position functions and physical responsibilities may vary by store location.

Requirements

Be willing to work varied hours Sunday through Saturday.
Be willing to perform physical work, including lifting and carrying, pushing and pulling, walking, reaching, standing, stooping or bending, squatting, kneeling, and repetitive motions.
Have judgment and decision-making, social, verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, and basic computer skills.
Be able to work with extended exposure to cold temperatures and wet surfaces.

Responsibilities

Make lasting connections with customers.
Fill and rotate produce cases and displays.
Assist with receiving products and merchandising to keep shelves full.
Help maintain a clean and sanitary store.
Work with the team on tasks necessary to operate the department.
Arrive promptly for shifts and work as scheduled.
Use department equipment and tools, including a forklift, pallet jack, carts, box cutter, compactor, baler, scanner, register, scale, check approval machine, coupon machine, and paging system, as applicable.
