About The Position

Super 1 Foods is a family-owned and operated business founded in 1985. The Produce Assistant Manager supports produce department operations, including inventory management, pricing, merchandising, labor and employee safety. The role involves planning, ordering and processing produce to maximize sales and gross profit, while ensuring new employees receive proper training and supervision. The assistant manager helps maintain a supply of fresh, high-quality produce and ensures merchandise is correctly ordered, received, unloaded, stored and displayed. The role also requires adherence to strict sanitation, food safety and personal hygiene standards, along with completing other tasks assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Manage produce department inventory, pricing and merchandising.
• Oversee produce employees' labor and safety.
• Plan, order and process produce to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Ensure new employees receive proper training and supervision.
• Maintain the supply and rotation of fresh, high-quality produce.
• Ensure merchandise is correctly ordered, received, unloaded and stored, and build displays.
• Follow sanitation, food safety and personal hygiene standards.
• Complete other tasks assigned by management.
