About The Position
Super 1 Foods is a family-owned and operated business founded in 1985. The Produce Assistant Manager supports produce department operations, including inventory management, pricing, merchandising, labor, and employee safety. The role involves planning, ordering, and processing produce to maximize sales and gross profit; ensuring employees receive proper training and supervision; and maintaining a supply of fresh, high-quality produce. The position also ensures merchandise is correctly ordered, received, unloaded, stored, and displayed, while adhering to sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene standards.
Requirements
- Adhere to strict standards of sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Manage produce department inventory, pricing, and merchandising.
- Oversee the labor and safety of produce employees.
- Plan, order, and process produce to maximize sales and gross profit.
- Ensure new employees receive proper training and supervision.
- Maintain the supply and rotation of fresh, high-quality produce.
- Ensure merchandise is correctly ordered, received, unloaded, stored, and used in displays.
- Complete other tasks assigned by management.
- Adhere to standards for sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene.
