About The Position

The Produce position at Jerry's Foods Woodbury is a part-time, union role reporting to the Produce Manager. The pay follows a progressive scale up to $17.25 per hour, based on experience. Hours vary across Sunday through Saturday. The role includes serving customers, filling and rotating produce cases and displays, helping receive and merchandise products, maintaining a clean and sanitary store, and assisting the team with department tasks. Duties and physical responsibilities may vary by store location. The work frequently involves physical activity, equipment operation, customer interaction, and exposure to cold temperatures and wet surfaces.

Requirements

Willingness to perform the listed customer service, stocking, merchandising, and store-cleaning duties.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying over 50 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 2,000 force pounds.
Ability to walk, reach, stand, stoop or bend, squat, kneel, and perform repetitive turning and bending.
Ability to work with listed department equipment and tolerate extended exposure to cold temperatures and wet surfaces.
Judgment and decision-making, social skills and verbal interaction, memorization, reading and writing, and basic computer skills.
