Requirements

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of produce variety, quality standards, perishability, and food safety
  • Understanding of inventory management, merchandising, and profit and loss
  • Ability to lift up to approximately 75 lbs. and work in cold environments
  • Ability to operate ordering systems, computers, and store equipment
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in produce operations or food service management

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day Produce Department operations to achieve customer service, sales, and profit goals
  • Champion company customer service standards and resolve customer concerns professionally
  • Train, schedule, coach, and motivate Produce Department associates
  • Ensure produce quality, freshness, safety, and sanitation standards are met
  • Order, receive, and manage inventory while controlling shrink
  • Execute promotional, seasonal, and advertised merchandising displays
  • Maintain accurate department records, logs, and required documentation
  • Comply with all food safety, health, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor and work areas
