About The Position

The Produce Clerk works part-time at Kj’s Market, preparing and displaying produce while maintaining product freshness, quality, and sanitation. The role also includes assisting guests with product information, preparation, and weighing; helping unload deliveries; and performing front-end duties to ensure guests experience “no noticeable wait.”

Requirements

Friendly, outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. constantly.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Effective communication and guest service skills.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Greet and interact politely and pleasantly with all guests.
Prepare produce for display on the sales floor.
Stock, price, rotate, and place products on produce displays according to Floco Foods standards.
Maintain the freshness and quality of produce for sale.
Assist with unloading products upon delivery.
Assist guests with product knowledge, preparation, and weighing.
Maintain sanitation standards in the backroom, cooler, and sales area.
Communicate guest requests and temperature breakdowns to management.
Perform front-end duties to ensure “no noticeable wait.”
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
